A home away from home...

Just left after enjoying four days at this lovely cabin. The host Patty just couldn't be more helpful with assisting in finding activities for our family of seven. All her recommendations were top notch. The cabin is well equipped and filled with games and items that kids would enjoy. Speaking of top notch the cabin was clean, comfortable and well cared for. We enjoyed the solitude of sitting on the back screened in porch playing cards while the kids laid on the hammock. It was very much more than I hoped for and will remember our visit here for a long time. (Review on Flipkey/TripAdvisor)

Amazing Trip!!!

We highly recommend three little birds cabin what a beautiful getaway to say the least. With the sudden news of hurricane Irma coming straight for Florida my family and I decided to evacuate.. we headed up to the beautiful smoky mountains in all honesty we forgot all about the hurricane and our home back in Florida... this place is a dream come true what a gem ! The people are friendly and the town is gorgeous and downtown Gatlinburg is just 20 minutes away! Highly recommended for a family-- patty really thought of everything!!! Thanks again !!

Everything was WAY more than alright!

Our family of four rented TLB and had an amazing experience! The cabin was clean, perfectly appointed, comfortable and fully stocked with everything we needed - and then some, given the stashes remaining from previous guests (Folgers coffee, anyone?). There was even a Boxtops for Education collection envelope stuck on the fridge, which melted my heart... (Surely these are donated to the local school system, which is no doubt in need of the financial support provided through the Boxtops program.) While we spent the bulk of our (too-short) stay out in the Smokies, the down time we had at the cabin was so very peaceful and idyllic. I will never forget staying up late with our small ones (8 and 2) to roast s'mores in the backyard, or breaking in our National Parks Monopoly game at the kitchen table with a bottle of wine (Orange Fanta for our 3rd grader), or relaxing in the hot tub. The only thing I didn't get to do that I so wanted to, was to chill out on one of the porches with a giant cup of coffee and a book. But that's the rub when it comes to family vacations: you don't have too many moments of solitude! Location of TLB was great: secluded, but close enough to "civilzation" that we didn't feel marooned. We found shopping at Walmart off the interstate was more convenient than driving in to Food World outside Gatlinburg. LOVED our dinner at local treasure, Carver's!! My poor gluten-free husband was soooo bummed that he couldn't enjoy the apple fritters. (He made up for it in other ways.) Contact with the TLB owners was easy and pleasant. They truly made certain we didn't have to worry about a thing. We cannot wait to go back, though it looks like we must because the place is always booked! A very, VERY "alright" thing. ;) (Posted by guest on TripAdvisor)

Our Perfect Getaway

We had a wonderful time. The cabin was breathtaking. I have never gone somewhere where the comforts of home was present in every room. You can tell how much time was spent on comforts and coziness without missing a beat. When Patty and Chris say, they have everything covered they mean it! The porch was my dream porch, as soon as we pulled up all the stress was gone. The screened in porch was just as comfortable. Plenty of room for outside games. The creeks were just beautiful to walk along & fish. All the natural parks were very close and easy to get to. We found the mom & pop shops and diners were the best. We will definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your home. Pam and Marc (reviewed on VRBO)

Consistent with Amazing Reviews!

The other reviewers are indeed not exaggerating. Three little birds is a wonderful cozy cabin, with comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen, a well stocked garage of all games/toys/bikes, a wonderful master suite, and a peaceful setting. We loved our time here. Best of all, Patty is a wonderful tour guide of the area and helped us find restaurants specific to our taste (farm to table!), and hikes suitable for our family - even ones that aren't listed on the maps. She responded quickly to all of our questions and is a fabulous owner as you can see. We loved that she provided so many personal suggestions and put SO MUCH thought into making their home extremely user friendly and comfy. (Review left on VRBO)

I cannot say enough about Patty & the house. She was so quick and responsive anytime we needed anything. The house was absolutely breathtaking. It was fully equipped with anything we needed! The house was close enough to town, but far enough away that we didn't fight traffic. There was always so much to do between shopping, games provided, and the hot tub. Checkers was a huge hit for our group. We are so glad we got the opportunity to stay here. It was more than we ever imagined.

The cabin was absolutely breathtaking and perfectly equipped with anything you could possibly need. Everything was organized and labeled allowing for us to have a smooth stay. It is close enough to many attractions but also secluded enough to make for a relaxing time. It was the perfect place to unwind and we all had a great trip thanks to Patty! Nature's complete retreat

Nestled in the TN hills about 5 minutes from nature's playground of the National Forest and loaded with every modern convenience you would need! You can tell they truly want their guests to find the love for the area that they have, as seen in all the details and care taken of the cabin. Our family of 5 had more than enough space and the cabin is VERY clean. Despite the temps we hiked everyday, zip lined, white water rafted, visited Gaitlinburg (about 20 minutes drive), visited Carvers for some local jellies/ syrup, played games in the cabin and relaxed in the hot tub. We would definitely rent again and cannot wait to come back when it is a little warmer to enjoy all the area has to offer to its fullest capacity.

A hidden gem tucked into the woods

OMG… What an absolutely wonderful property. It felt like we were pulling into our own cabin in the woods. Three Little Birds had every convenience we needed and more. Clean, well kept and updated describes this place well. Our youngest travelers were in their 20’s, but the cabin was equipped for even young children. A very contemporary kitchen that had every utensil needed to cook just about any meal. The beds were very comfortable, clean and roomy. The bathrooms and showers were as clean as ours at home. They provide enough firewood to burn all season. Although we never took advantage of them, there were two different types of grills with tools. Our family did use the hot tub and hammock located on the screened in back porch much more than I thought we would, both were so relaxing after a day of hiking. Never turned on the 55 inch TV or used the stereo located in the living room, but I have to imagine that they would be more than enough for the space. The real beauty of Three Little Birds is its location. My family much prefers the quiet, natural aspects of the Great Smoky Mountains NP, and being about 20 minutes east of the Sugarland entrance of the park; well let’s just say there is a lot less traffic, noise, fudge, neon signs and people. Patty has a great understanding of the area and was most helpful with suggesting the hiking trails that would be the best for our abilities. One last thing, if by chance there is something you think that you might need while out on the trails, or something that Three Little Birds might not have, look in the garage because I would be willing to bet it is there. I would without hesitation recommend Three Little Birds to my family and friends.

Loved It!!!

My husband and I just spent a fantastic week at Three Little Birds. This was our third rental in the area and definitely our favorite. We loved being away from Gatlinburg's craziness, but still found the location to be convenient to all that we wanted to do. The cabin itself is warm and inviting. While there are other properties nearby, we did not lack for privacy. While it was the just the two of us, the cabin can comfortably host a larger family. The cabin lacks for nothing. Patty and Chris have provided everything you could possibly want or need in a rental. We've stayed in numerous rentals in the States and abroad and cannot think of another that provided nearly as much as Three Little Birds. The kitchen is particularly well stocked. We ate dinner in most nights and had no trouble making our meals. The hot tub, fire pit and screened in porch are wonderful amenities. I loved having useable outdoor space--something you don't find with every rental in the area. We hiked 35 miles during our stay and loved coming home to the comforts of the cabin. I do wish we'd had a longer stay as we really didn't have time to enjoy all that the cabin offered. For instance, we didn't have time to use the inner tubes on Cosby Creek. I think we'll just have to go back! Thanks, Patty and Chris! We sure hope to visit Three Little Birds again!

Perfect Family Getaway

Three Little Birds Cabin was the perfect getaway for my family. My husband, my sister and our kids ages 3, 12, and 14 shared the cabin at the beginning of August. We felt at home the minute we drove in the driveway. It is surrounded by trees and has the most welcoming porch with rockers and a swing. Although there are neighbors, you feel like you are in the middle of the woods. The older kids shared the loft, and enjoyed the office area, TV/DVD, and wifi. Our 3 year old used the toddler cot that is available and a sleeping bag in the Master Suite. Usually when we sleep somewhere new, especially at a hotel, he has trouble getting to sleep. From the first night, he was so comfortable, there were no issues at bedtime. The kitchen, bathrooms, really the entire cabin, is clean and well equipped. We really appreciated having the plastic dishes for our youngest. There are even ziploc bags, storage containers and foil for leftovers. There are lawn toys and outdoor gear in the garage, toys in the office area, and cable TV in the living room and bedrooms. The laundry room has detergent and dryer sheets available. Patty, the owner, takes a personal interest in helping you plan your stay. She is quick to respond to questions, and has a wealth of ideas to help plan activities that suit your interests. In the cabin there are guidebooks, maps, brochures, menus and more to assist you. We were drawn to the cabin because we wanted to see and explore the area, but wanted to avoid the crowds and noise of Gatlinburg. We hiked the Cosby Nature Trail near the cabin. We used a scavenger hunt book from the cabin to look for landmarks along the trail. This part of the national park is less visited, so we had the trail to ourselves. We drove the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail and saw 4 black bears. The traffic was nonstop and, at times, it was hard to navigate around parked cars. Even though it was beautiful, we were glad to get back to the quiet and peace in Cosby. Another highlight of staying in Cosby is being able to eat and shop at local establishments where the owners/ artists take the time to visit with you. For a little excitement Rafting in the Smokies is nearby along I-40. Two of us ziplined and 4 of us did the family float rafting. Even though it was hot during our visit, the trees and nearby streams made it feel cooler when you were on the trails or in the cabin. We only stayed in the cabin from Mon night-Fri morning, but we all wished we could have stayed longer

Everything you need

A group of friends from around the country met up for a reunion weekend at The Three Little Birds Cabin and couldn't have asked for better accommodations. The communication leading up to the trip with Patty, the owner, was really easy and helpful. We were thoroughly impressed with all of the detail in the cabin. Everytime we wondered if the cabin had something we needed, we found it. We made all of our meals in the cabin and only had to bring the food. A group drove the short way to hike out to the local swimming hole and were really impressed with the trip. We utilized the hot tub, the screened porch, and the games all weekend, enjoying a quiet and relaxing weekend. While our group were all adults, I can absolutely see coming back to this cabin with children in the future. It is a perfect set up for a family/families with kids. We've stayed in several VRBO properties and this is definitely the best. We couldn't ask for more.

Three Little Birds is one of the best VRBO homes I have ever stayed in. It was spotlessly clean, incredibly well stocked and in a great, quiet location. The owner Patty was an amazingly helpful and accommodating host. She told me about places to eat, off the beaten path shops to visit and hikes to take. We were lacking nothing during our stay. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook meals. The screened in back porch with the hammock is perfect for relaxing. And the fire pit with all the wood you need was great. All in all, this is a perfect place for friends or families to gather and enjoy the Smoky Mountains.

Three Birds Cabin was the perfect little get away! It's location was far enough away to not be in the mess of tourist but close enough to go either west or east to the touristy places. My "home away from home"

Once again our family enjoyed a "Smokey Mtn. Christmas and New Year" at Three Little Birds. Spending time in such a warm and "homey" place could not be more inviting. Since I'm a "home body" the weather never is an issue as sitting before a warm fire, carrying on with hobbies, Christmas programing and time with family is the goal for me. The cabin is well equipped, that food is all that is needed. I will plan to be there as often as possible. Being a Tennessee gal doesn't hurt at all as the Lord continues to bless me with time there. The cabin owners have not overlooked any either in furnishings or in providing detailed information to local shopping, activities and special events to enjoy the year round. There are stairs to climb, four to the porch and also into the garage area as well as access to the master suite and loft area. However for those who are "stairs challenged", sturdy railings are there along with an ample downstairs bedroom and bath, pull out sofa and "my" favorite recliner and a wonderful hot tub to enjoy no matter the weather. I so look forward to the next opportunity to enjoy this lovely cabin as I "count the days" until then. Thank you for giving us such a special place to go to.

She was very informative about nearby places to eat and things to do as well as offer to pick up anything we might need before our arrival! The only thing lacking was enough time to enjoy the awesome hot tub and fire pit as much as we wanted. She had many games and books to keep everyone occupied had we been able to stay longer. Everything was also immaculately clean and we are already planning a trip back ASAP to stay longer. We have surely found a dream cabin and hope to visit many more times! My husband and I, along with my dad and his wife, rented Three Little Birds Cabin for a week at the end of July! The cabin surpassed all of our expectations in every way!!! The cabin is set in a beautiful, country location amid towering trees, only minutes from one of the entrances to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is also centrally located if you want to go into Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, and only an hour away from the Biltmore Estate. The cabin is new and very, very clean, and really does have everything you need, including bikes, hot tub, rockers, porch swing, fire pit, grill, fully equipped kitchen, large laundry room, and too many more items to list! We recommend Carver's Orchard & Apple House Restaurant with attached farmer's market in Cosby. And the little candy store next door to the market sold wonderful homemade bread! Especially appreciated the great communication skills of Patty, both before and after our stay. Hope to return soon! Thanks, again!!!

Best Place to Stay While Adventuring the Smoky Mountains with Your Friends!

The Three Little Birds cabin was by far the best place to stay while visiting the Smokey Mountains. It is in the perfect location to hang your hat while you go hiking, backpacking, rafting, mountain biking, whatever! We had 7 grown men stay there comfortably while we went hiking, mountain biking, and rafting during the day-time hours. The ability to make it to everything we wanted to do in a matter of minutes was great. It’s a prime location. Even minutes from all the moonshine distilleries in Gatlinburg. The hot tub was a nice feature after all the rigorous outdoor activities we had done. The kitchen and grilling area was fantastic and saved us a ton of time and money when preparing our meals. The cabin had everything we could think of for staying in the Smokey Mountains. You don’t need to bring anything. They already thought of everything you could need, other than your clothing and food for the trip of course. You will for sure feel like a king while staying there. I think the ongoing saying was “is this place amazing or what!” I’m 100% positive we will be staying there again.

The cabin is great and the amenities are wonderful and more than complete. Patty and Chris have lived their mission of creating a vacation cabin where they have thought of everything a guest might need! Everything is lovely and cared for and we will return again. It was particularly perfect for my young kids since the owners have filled the cabin with books and games. The cabin is less than a half hour from Gatlinburg (with the wonderful aquarium) and 5 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains Park hiking trails. Unfortunately the park was close when we were there due to the government shutdown, but there is so much to do in the area and the locals were so kind to give us great suggestions. Great Summer Vacation in the Smokeys!

So much to say about Three Little Birds Cabin! From the minute we walked in, we felt right at home and to say that Patty and Chris thought of everything is putting it lightly. The attention to detail was wonderful and aside from bringing food, we didn't need anything. We had two 9 year old girls who had no problem entertaining themselves on those rainy evenings and my husband and I really enjoyed relaxing on the hammock. The two binders full of information for pretty much EVERYTHING was amazing and it made our trip that much easier to plan activities. We had a couple of questions and emailed Patty and she got back to us immediatey. We also thought the location was perfect, far enough away from Gatlingburg and the touristy part of town but close enough to everything we wanted to do. We had a great experience. We have rented a lot of places, and no owners have taken the care that you have to provide such great recommendations and to make things so easy. We didn’t have to do any research. We just arrived, looked at your binders, and knew what we wanted to do. Your home is lovely. Everything was spotless. The décor is cozy. The kitchen was well equipped – we made one trip to the grocery store and ate all of our meals in the cabin. We appreciated the welcome basket – such a nice touch. All of the instructions for the equipment (TV, fireplace, etc) were helpful. The kids enjoyed Battleship, the DVDs and, especially, playing hockey. We caught a couple of trout in the creek – one rainbow trout and one brook trout. He was thrilled. Next time he wants to fish at Big Creek. We had a picnic near the creek before hiking to Midnight Hole and the waterfall just beyond. We definitely plan to come back. We can’t wait to come back for a longer stay. We didn’t rock on the porch nearly enough, or sit in the hot tub. Thank you, thank you for a lovely retreat. We will definitely be back, and we will definitely recommend Three Little Birds to our friends.

Great Cabin!

The cabin was incredible. It was equipped with everything you would need for your stay other than food. The location was also nice if you want to be away from the crowds. Thanks!!!

Family Time

We enjoyed the cabin immensely and hope to return. The cabin was very clean and well maintained. Patti and Chris had many suggestions for excursions with details on getting there and how long it took and what to do. Beautiful and spacious. We had a wide range of ages, my Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, my husband and myself, our 25 yr old son and our two teenage girls, and we all loved it. I certainly recommend this to anyone.

Get away from it all in style

I brought my children down from the Chicago area for an extended weekend. The cabin is wonderful; there really wasn't anything they didn't think to supply, and everything is top-notch. The local area is beautiful and quiet, and there are neighbors in case you feel too isolated. There is a brand new hot tub, in an enclosure that keeps the bugs out! We followed the included directions to the grocery store for supplies, and we were all set. I think location-wise it was perfect, in that it was close to some of the more tourist-y areas like Gatlinburg, but not so close that you saw or heard any of the associated traffic. One of the most amazing things about the trip I remember is how clear the sky was at night and how many stars could be seen. We happened to visit when there were meteor showers and it was quite a display. The kids (ages 8 and 10) enjoyed the balance of nature-oriented fun, and touristy destinations. In all, I highly recommend the cabin and the location, and hope to visit this same cabin again in the Spring. Last bit-there is a neighbor who lives close by who agreed to assist renters, so that if there is anything the owners haven't included, the neighbor was always close at hand.

Fantastic and Peaceful

This place is absolutely wonderful. The pictures do not do it justice! The cabin is decorated just like a picture from Southern Living. The master bath and bedroom are a perfectly romantic place. My favorite place was the front porch on the swing perfect to read a book or just watch the world go by! It is super.nice to end the day relaxing in the hot tub. The cabin is well-maintained and very clean. It is stocked with all kinds of extras you don't find in most rental places. Just hanging out on a rainy day and listening to the rain on the roof was nice! If you want to leave your worries behind and spend some quiet time in the outdoors this is the place to go. We went to the national park and hiked on the trails and hung out in the stream.even got to see a few bears ... We also spent time doing" touristy "in Gatlinburg but liked best just hanging at the cabin! I can not wait to return to this perfect cabin.

We've rented several times through VRBO and this was by far the best place we've stayed in. My only complaint is that we should have booked a longer stay! We will definitely be coming back and have several friends interested in visiting as well. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Fantastic Spring Break

My family stayed in this wonderful cabin during our spring break. Everything was better than advertised. It was clean when we arrived even though we made our plans last minute. Firewood in the fireplace, charcoal in the grill, hot tub ready and waiting. The cabin's location is ideal. There are places to get food, drink, and groceries in 10 - 15 minute. An entrance to the park is about one mile from the door. We hiked from the Greenbrier area it was beautiful. We spent a day at the Biltmore (a little over an hour away). We also visited Cades Cove and hiked out to Abrams Falls. Overall rating is 5 of 5 stars (posted on VRBO)

Leave your cares behind!

This was our first real family vacation. We have four little girls and the owners, Patty & Chris have thought of everything! We didn't have to pack any toys or movies. We packed our clothes and didn't have to worry about anything else. The towels are plentiful and fluffy. The house was very clean...it even impressed grandma! We only booked our stay for 5 nights and were upset with ourselves for not booking a full week...we will know for next time! The children were also in love with Three Little Birds. If you are impressed with the pictures wait until you see it in person! The screened in back porch was just perfect! We could go on and on about how wonderful it is. You won't be disappointed!

What a beautiful, comfortable place for a family vacation

We returned today from our stay and cannot say enough of how well we were taken care of during our stay at Three Little Birds. The cabin is immaculate and better stocked than the listing even claims (which is impressive!). It's not entirely secluded, the cabin is located in a wooded area with a few neighboring cabins and a main road a short distance aways. We could slightly overhear cars when we were outside, but we couldn't see them. The owners are easily reachable, we had one question upon arrive and they had a neighbor/caretaker over in minutes. Between the screened in porches, rain protected grill area, hot tub and board games we passed a couple rainy days quite easily. We traveled with a 1 year old and it was the easiest trip we've taken! Quite literally we packed his clothes, diapers and favorite books. The rest of was there.... a brand new Graco pack n' play with sheets, a space saver high chair/booster seat, toy cars, sippy cups, hooded towels. Not a detail overlooked, it's clear the owners have vacation with young kids. The screen doors on have hook latches from inside the house and on the porches exit doors, so no matter where we were he was secure. A house binder is filled with thoughtful details and the owners' personal experiences on hikes, restaurants and activities, we referenced it more than we did Google or Yelp and were not led astray. A like-new REI hiking carrier back pack is there as well. As first time hikers we had no problem securing our son and heading out on the trails. If you are considering this cabin, rest assured you're making a good decision. Thank you! (VRBO)

Beautiful Retreat

Spent Christmas 2012 at Three Little Birds and absolutely loved it. The cabin is exceptionally clean and well appointed. The owners have gone to great thought and time invested in making sure you have everything you may need. They are also very kind, helpful, and quick to return emails or calls. Close to the Cosby entrance of the GSM park. Easy access to I-40 without the traffic congestion of Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. Highly recommend this lovely cabin and it's very hospitable owners.
