Beautiful hand-hewed log cabin on edge of Great Smoky Mountain National Park

Three Little Birds opened its doors to guests in October, 2012.  Everything in the home is brand new! Impeccably clean and extraordinarily equipped.  This luxury cabin is in a tranquil setting offering the comforts of home yet the escape from everyday life.

This spacious and handcrafted cabin is nestled in a wooded setting less than 5 minutes away from the Cosby entrance of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and an easy 25 minute drive to Gatlinburg (no hills or windy roads).  The cabin is 15 minutes away from whitewater rafting and ziplining. Ideal for families and couples who want to hike in the National Park or enjoy the area's activities. Spend your days doing nothing or filling them with adventure.

Three Little Birds sleeps 6-8 people comfortably with 2 bedrooms (king and queen), a large loft with 2 twin beds, and a queen sleeper sofa. The romantic master suite has a beautiful king-sized log bed, a handcrafted gas log fireplace, flat screen TV, and a large master bath with a jetted tub.  The second bedroom has a unique queen log bed and flat screen TV.  The upstairs loft has a twin trundle bed, a game table, a flat screen TV and an Xbox 360 with Kinect.

The home has an open floor plan with plenty of entertainment space. The living room is equipped with a 55' HDTV, surround system (which also plays on the back patio and hot tub), and a stacked stone woodburning fireplace. Also enjoy cooking a gourmet meal or a quick snack in the well-equipped kitchen with granite countertops, a convection oven, and plenty of cooking equipment. The perfect room for entertaining or relaxing.

Outside enjoy 2 beautiful covered porches with rockers, swings and ceiling fans. The private back patio is completely screened with a beautiful hot tub. Soak your worries away, read a book, or enjoy the sounds of nature.  There is also an outdoor paved patio with built in firepit to take the chill out of the night or cook up a smore.

For families, the cabin is equipped with the goals of never hearing the words 'I'm bored' or 'why is this car packed to the roof'. The cabin has a bouncy seat, brand-new Pack and Play with sheets, Kelty baby carrier perfect for day hikes, booster seat, stroller, and plenty of plasticware in the kitchen. Within the house, you'll find many board games, a game table, and an Xbox 360 with Kinect to keep everyone entertained. You couldn't possibly be bored even on a rainy day.

Hikers will envy the 2-car attached garage. You'll find a place for everything and everything in its place. We have charging stations for your walkie talkies and GPS, places to hang your poles and backpacks, and boot scrubbers to take the best care of your equipment. You'll find it easy to enjoy the National Park and return to the comforts of home. Also provided are river tubes, inflatable boats, bicycles, and plenty of yard toys.

Lastly, if you can't leave work behind or just need a change to your remote setting, Three Little Birds has a unique set up. The home has high-speed internet, WIFI access anywhere - outside or inside, and a small private office with 2 desks just off the loft area upstairs.
Although we love pets, we are a no pet cabin.

Don't worry about a thing at Three Little Birds Cabin!

Just as you would hope

A very clean and well organized cabin/house. It really has everything you need. The arrangements were very clear and everything was as anticipated. I would highly recommend this rental and would absolutely come again. It is a good location for the park and other adventures.

Best Place to Stay While Adventuring the Smoky Mountains with Your Friends!

The Three Little Birds cabin was by far the best place to stay while visiting the Smokey Mountains. It is in the perfect location to hang your hat while you go hiking, backpacking, rafting, mountain biking, whatever! We had 7 grown men stay there comfortably while we went hiking, mountain biking, and rafting during the day-time hours. The ability to make it to everything we wanted to do in a matter of minutes was great. It’s a prime location. Even minutes from all the moonshine distilleries in Gatlinburg. The hot tub was a nice feature after all the rigorous outdoor activities we had done. The kitchen and grilling area was fantastic and saved us a ton of time and money when preparing our meals. The cabin had everything we could think of for staying in the Smokey Mountains. You don’t need to bring anything. They already thought of everything you could need, other than your clothing and food for the trip of course. You will for sure feel like a king while staying there. I think the ongoing saying was “is this place amazing or what!” I’m 100% positive we will be staying there again.

Leave your cares behind!

This was our first real family vacation. We have four little girls and the owners, Patty & Chris have thought of everything! We didn't have to pack any toys or movies. We packed our clothes and didn't have to worry about anything else. The towels are plentiful and fluffy. The house was very clean...it even impressed grandma! We only booked our stay for 5 nights and were upset with ourselves for not booking a full week...we will know for next time! The children were also in love with Three Little Birds. If you are impressed with the pictures wait until you see it in person! The screened in back porch was just perfect! We could go on and on about how wonderful it is. You won't be disappointed!

Best Cabin EVER!!!

My husband and I, along with my dad and his wife, rented Three Little Birds Cabin for a week at the end of July! The cabin surpassed all of our expectations in every way!!! The cabin is set in a beautiful, country location amid towering trees, only minutes from one of the entrances to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is also centrally located if you want to go into Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge, and only an hour away from the Biltmore Estate. The cabin is new and very, very clean, and really does have everything you need, including bikes, hot tub, rockers, porch swing, fire pit, grill, fully equipped kitchen, large laundry room, and too many more items to list! We recommend Carver's Orchard & Apple House Restaurant with attached farmer's market in Cosby. And the little candy store next door to the market sold wonderful homemade bread! Especially appreciated the great communication skills of Patty, both before and after our stay. Hope to return soon! Thanks, again!!!

Awesome vacation

Three little birds cabin was perfect! It`s actually what my wife and i want to buy in Tennessee. The owners thought of everything. We were on a Harley so we couldn`t bring much besides clothes. The area was beautiful. Took a hike in cosby campground( forgot the name of the trail). Ate at Carver applehouse and our favorite breakfast place, the little house of pancakes. Also had the BEST EVER ribs at Hungry Bear. It was an awesome vacation and we will be back.

Loved, Loved, Loved The Three Little Birds Cabin!!!

We've stayed at other cabin rentals in the Smokys but The Three Little Birds far exceeded our expectations. The attention to detail in the decor was only matched by the care and thoughtfulness that went into providing every amenity possible for guests. Patty (the owner) was extremely helpful, friendly, and responsive. Overall, the entire experience was positive. Bring your clothes and food and you are set for a comfortable, clean, and restful stay in the quiet side of Gatlinburg. We would DEFINITELY return!!!!

Fabulous Vacation (even if the Smokies were closed)

When my family and I walked into the Three Little Birds cabin we were thrilled. My daughter stated that she never wanted to leave. The cabin is great and the amenities are wonderful and more than complete. Patty and Chris have lived their mission of creating a vacation cabin where they have thought of everything a guest might need! Everything is lovely and cared for and we will return again. It was particularly perfect for my young kids since the owners have filled the cabin with books and games. The cabin is less than a half hour from Gatlinburg (with the wonderful aquarium) and 5 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains Park hiking trails. Unfortunately the park was close when we were there due to the government shutdown, but there is so much to do in the area and the locals were so kind to give us great suggestions. We didn't miss the park at all! We had a wonderful relaxing visit and loved every minute of it!

Great Summer Vacation in the Smokeys!

So much to say about Three Little Birds Cabin! From the minute we walked in, we felt right at home and to say that Patty and Chris thought of everything is putting it lightly. The attention to detail was wonderful and aside from bringing food, we didn't need anything. We had two 9 year old girls who had no problem entertaining themselves on those rainy evenings and my husband and I really enjoyed relaxing on the hammock. The two binders full of information for pretty much EVERYTHING was amazing and it made our trip that much easier to plan activities. We had a couple of questions and emailed Patty and she got back to us immediatey. We also thought the location was perfect, far enough away from Gatlingburg and the touristy part of town but close enough to everything we wanted to do. We've rented several times through VRBO and this was by far the best place we've stayed in. My only complaint is that we should have booked a longer stay! We will definitely be coming back and have several friends interested in visiting as well. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!

Fly fishing Indiana family

We absolutely loved this cabin and location. We have been coming to the Gatlinburg area for the past 13 years and have stayed many places and different cabins, but this one is by far the best. With 4 children in tow ages 10,7,6,1 it is hard to pack everything we need. Knowing all the extra equipment was provided for the kids and babies really helped us out!!! Being a fly fishing family it was great to be so close to Cosby entrance to the park as well as only a few miles to the Greenbrier entrance. We fished a lot and the kids too!! Thanks so much we will be returning here year after year!!

What a beautiful, comfortable place for a family vacation

We returned today from our stay and cannot say enough of how well we were taken care of during our stay at Three Little Birds. The cabin is immaculate and better stocked than the listing even claims (which is impressive!). It's not entirely secluded, the cabin is located in a wooded area with a few neighboring cabins and a main road a short distance aways. We could slightly overhear cars when we were outside, but we couldn't see them. The owners are easily reachable, we had one question upon arrive and they had a neighbor/caretaker over in minutes. Between the screened in porches, rain protected grill area, hot tub and board games we passed a couple rainy days quite easily. We traveled with a 1 year old and it was the easiest trip we've taken! Quite literally we packed his clothes, diapers and favorite books. The rest of was there.... a brand new Graco pack n' play with sheets, a space saver high chair/booster seat, toy cars, sippy cups, hooded towels. Not a detail overlooked, it's clear the owners have vacation with young kids. The screen doors on have hook latches from inside the house and on the porches exit doors, so no matter where we were he was secure. A house binder is filled with thoughtful details and the owners' personal experiences on hikes, restaurants and activities, we referenced it more than we did Google or Yelp and were not led astray. A like-new REI hiking carrier back pack is there as well. As first time hikers we had no problem securing our son and heading out on the trails. If you are considering this cabin, rest assured you're making a good decision. Thank you! (VRBO)

Fantastic Spring Break

My family stayed in this wonderful cabin during our spring break. Everything was better than advertised. It was clean when we arrived even though we made our plans last minute. Firewood in the fireplace, charcoal in the grill, hot tub ready and waiting. The cabin's location is ideal. There are places to get food, drink, and groceries in 10 - 15 minute. An entrance to the park is about one mile from the door. We hiked from the Greenbrier area it was beautiful. We spent a day at the Biltmore (a little over an hour away). We also visited Cades Cove and hiked out to Abrams Falls. Overall rating is 5 of 5 stars (posted on VRBO)

Spent Christmas 2012 at Three Little Birds and absolutely loved it. The cabin is exceptionally clean and well appointed. The owners have gone to great thought and time invested in making sure you have everything you may need. They are also very kind, helpful, and quick to return emails or calls. Feedback A+

We had a great experience. We have rented a lot of places, and no owners have taken the care that you have to provide such great recommendations and to make things so easy. We didn’t have to do any research. We just arrived, looked at your binders, and knew what we wanted to do. Your home is lovely. Everything was spotless. The décor is cozy. The kitchen was well equipped – we made one trip to the grocery store and ate all of our meals in the cabin. We appreciated the welcome basket – such a nice touch. All of the instructions for the equipment (TV, fireplace, etc) were helpful. The kids enjoyed Battleship, the DVDs and, especially, playing hockey. We caught a couple of trout in the creek – one rainbow trout and one brook trout. He was thrilled. Next time he wants to fish at Big Creek. We had a picnic near the creek before hiking to Midnight Hole and the waterfall just beyond. We definitely plan to come back. We can’t wait to come back for a longer stay. We didn’t rock on the porch nearly enough, or sit in the hot tub. Thank you, thank you for a lovely retreat. We will definitely be back, and we will definitely recommend Three Little Birds to our friends.

Peace and Tranquility at Three Little Birds

This fabulous cabin in the Smoky Mountains exceeded all our expectations. It was immaculate, well supplied, and easily accessible. We loved the hot tub, the fire pit, and the fireplace. The furniture was comfortable - especially the mattresses. Both porches were enjoyed by these two retired couples. The cabin was so wonderful we hung around there more than venturing into the park. Patty and Chris have spent hours preparing wonderful folders of information that are highly useful regarding restaurants and things to do. Three Little Birds was the perfect place to spend four beautiful autumn days.

Fantastic and Peaceful

This place is absolutely wonderful. The pictures do not do it justice! The cabin is decorated just like a picture from Southern Living. The master bath and bedroom are a perfectly romantic place. My favorite place was the front porch on the swing perfect to read a book or just watch the world go by! It is super.nice to end the day relaxing in the hot tub. The cabin is well-maintained and very clean. It is stocked with all kinds of extras you don't find in most rental places. Just hanging out on a rainy day and listening to the rain on the roof was nice! If you want to leave your worries behind and spend some quiet time in the outdoors this is the place to go. We went to the national park and hiked on the trails and hung out in the stream.even got to see a few bears ... We also spent time doing" touristy "in Gatlinburg but liked best just hanging at the cabin! I can not wait to return to this perfect cabin.

Get away from it all in style

I brought my children down from the Chicago area for an extended weekend. The cabin is wonderful; there really wasn't anything they didn't think to supply, and everything is top-notch. The local area is beautiful and quiet, and there are neighbors in case you feel too isolated. There is a brand new hot tub, in an enclosure that keeps the bugs out! We followed the included directions to the grocery store for supplies, and we were all set. I think location-wise it was perfect, in that it was close to some of the more tourist-y areas like Gatlinburg, but not so close that you saw or heard any of the associated traffic. One of the most amazing things about the trip I remember is how clear the sky was at night and how many stars could be seen. We happened to visit when there were meteor showers and it was quite a display. The kids (ages 8 and 10) enjoyed the balance of nature-oriented fun, and touristy destinations. In all, I highly recommend the cabin and the location, and hope to visit this same cabin again in the Spring. Last bit-there is a neighbor who lives close by who agreed to assist renters, so that if there is anything the owners haven't included, the neighbor was always close at hand.
